🚒 Big Adventures at Fire Station 9! 🔥

Today our Little Thinkers turned into little heroes! 🚨 We took a thrilling field trip to Fire Station 9, where wide eyes and curious minds met real-life firefighters, shiny red trucks, and even the loud (but exciting!) whoop of the siren. 🚒

Our kiddos learned all about fire safety, tried on pint-sized helmets, and asked some truly insightful questions—like “Do firefighters eat marshmallows in the fire?” (We’re still waiting on a definitive answer. 😉)

A big thank-you to the brave team at Station 9 for their time, their kindness, and for letting us explore the magical world behind the big red doors. The children left feeling inspired, a little more fearless, and maybe dreaming of a future in boots and a fire hat.

Rainy Skies, Bright Spirits: Field Day 2025 Recap

May 21st, 2025 may not have given us blue skies or picnic weather, but it gave us something even better—an unforgettable day of fun and connection right here at Little Thinkers!

While the weather kept us from heading to McMillan Park, we didn’t let a little rain wash away our plans. Instead, we brought Field Day indoors, turning our space into a lively playground full of joy, movement, and laughter.

Our indoor playground became the heart of the action, and the sound of giggles filled every corner. From energetic games and creative obstacle courses to group movement activities and spontaneous dance parties, the day was packed with the kind of moments childhood is made of.

Field Day highlights included:

• Jumping, sliding, and climbing on the indoor playground

• Silly relay races and team games adapted for indoor fun

• Music, bubbles, and the best kind of chaos—happy, busy children having a blast!

There were no ribbons, trophies, or grand prizes—just pure, memory-making magic. That’s what Field Day is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to our staff and families for staying flexible and bringing the sunshine indoors. Even with gloomy weather, the day was full of bright moments we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Here’s to rainy day fun, joyful memories, and the Little Thinkers spirit that shines no matter the forecast!

🎓 Pre-K Graduation Celebration

Our Pre-K Graduation on May 23rd was a joyful and heartfelt celebration!

With bright red tassels and even brighter smiles, our graduates walked proudly into their next chapter. We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll do in kindergarten and beyond.

🌳☀️ A Sunny Day at Kreager Park! 🎒🛝
Field Trip Fun – June 3, 2025

On Tuesday, June 3rd, our Little Thinkers laced up their sneakers and hit the great outdoors for a fun-filled field trip to Kreager Park — and what a beautiful day it was to kick off our summer program!

Fresh Air & Big Adventures
Kreager Park gave our kiddos the perfect space to run, climb, laugh, and explore. Some of the highlights included:

🛝 Sliding, swinging, and climbing on the playground
🌼 Spotting birds, bugs, and colorful flowers
🏃‍♀️ Racing in the open fields with friends
🧺 Sharing a cozy picnic and cool drinks under the shade

Favorite Moments
The playground was packed with giggles as our students zipped down slides and swung toward the sky. One group even made a “nature parade,” proudly marching with sticks and leaves like explorers on a mission! 🐾

We loved watching them team up for games, help each other climb, and take in the sunshine with wide eyes and happy hearts.

Learning Through Play
At Little Thinkers, we believe outdoor play is more than just fun — it’s where imaginations grow, friendships blossom, and children build confidence in their world.

We’re so proud of how our students explored with kindness, curiosity, and joy. This trip was a perfect start to a season full of learning, laughter, and sunshine.

🎉🚦 A Big Day at Safety Village! 🚒🛑
Field Trip Fun – June 4, 2025

On Wednesday, June 4th, our curious kiddos put on their brightest smiles (and their best walking shoes!) for an exciting field trip to Safety Village in Fort Wayne — and oh boy, did we learn a lot and have a blast!

Tiny Town, Big Lessons
Safety Village is like a mini city made just for kids — complete with little buildings, crosswalks, traffic lights, and even a kid-sized firehouse! Our children had the chance to:

🚗 Practice looking both ways before crossing the street
🚥 Learn about traffic lights and signs
🚒 Visit a real fire truck and hear about fire safety from friendly firefighters
☎️ Talk about how and when to call 911 (they’re learning those numbers quick!)

Favorite Moments
The giggles were loudest when we “drove” around the village like little grown-ups and pretended to be safe pedestrians! Some kids said it felt like driving in a cartoon! 🏙️

And of course, our brave little ones got to crawl low under pretend smoke and find a safe way out — just like real fire drills. What heroes in training!

Learning Through Play
We’re so proud of how our students listened, learned, and showed responsibility throughout the day. Safety Village helped us understand that being safe can be fun, and now we’re even better at recognizing danger, knowing our addresses, and spotting those helpful “red trucks.”

A BIG thank you to the staff at Safety Village for making the experience so memorable. We can’t wait to go back next year!

🧠 A Day of Discovery at Science Central! 🌈⚡
Field Trip Fun – June 5, 2025

On Thursday, June 5th, our Little Thinkers set off on a big adventure to Science Central in Fort Wayne — and let’s just say, brains were buzzing and smiles were beaming!

Hands-On Learning, Big Wonder
Science Central is packed with colorful exhibits, curious experiments, and fun you can touch! Our kiddos had the chance to:

🌀 Feel the force of wind in a hurricane simulator
🔍 Explore how their bodies work in the health zone
🧲 Play with magnets and discover how things attract
💡 Light up circuits and see how energy flows

Favorite Moments
There were so many “Whoa!” and “Look at this!” moments as our students touched buttons, turned knobs, and climbed their way through all kinds of scientific fun. One of the biggest hits? The giant water table — where learning about motion and flow became a splashy good time! 💦

And we can’t forget the floating ball exhibit and the spinning tunnel that made everyone laugh and wobble with joy!

Learning Through Wonder
This trip reminded us how science is everywhere — in the air we breathe, the sounds we hear, and the fun we create. Our Little Thinkers asked big questions, made new connections, and left with even bigger imaginations.

We are so proud of how curious, kind, and respectful they were during the trip. Their minds were growing as fast as their giggles!
